Happy 20 Months Japan
This quadrimester (every 4 months instead of 3) has been rather monumental so im a bit behind for this post but here are each month’s highlights twitta-style.
January: hammered out 2021 goals on furst day back at work, snow excursions, biweekly dinna parties w neighbourmom, furst car shoot, new hair who dis
February: we made it to 26 safe, a lot of cakepops, a lifechanging trip in 4 parts, graduation and farewell to some of my fave students
March: reached 10k on the site!, started therapy, refreshed the inspo wall, devoured white day choco, leveled up w new ink n car parts, sakura szn ❤
April: new school year, more sakura, said goodbye to IG, overcame my ptsd of making food w my hands, epic first 3 week vacay in 5yrs

the 19 prefectures ive been to: aichi, gifu, hokkaido, hyogo, ibaraki, ishikawa, kanagawa, kyoto, mie, nagano, niigata, okayama, osaka, shizuoka, tokushima, tokyo, tottori, wakayama, yamanashi.. 28 more to go!
favourite thing about spring: F L O W E R S
a terrifying thing i did: walk into libertywalk for a meeting with the president and end up pitching myself instead of asking career advice when i got choked on time whoops

moment i want to hold onto forever: accidentally securing a dream job and exit plan months ahead of schedule, and walking out feeling like an absolute boss
latest thing im trying to keep alive: bowl of adorable, colourful cactus from the nursery outside monet’s pond in gifu
favourite item lately: 90yen recycled paper muji notepad
most peaceful moment this year: watching a 430am sunrise from the top deck of the ferry from hokkaido to ibaraki, bread in hand, wrapped in a red blanket that reminds me of home, finishing up my first personal vacation in 5 years
the secret to self-care and patience while hustling: ice cream scented candles (79y from IKEA u welcom)
my next challenge: passing the kanji kentei proficiency test in june
