HAPPY 9 MONTHS JAPAN!
wow time sure flies when u’re at home tryna avoid a global pandemic and stressbaking ALLL the bread possible within the confines of sanity.
however, despite all the ups and downs, cancelled plans, n depressive episodes of the past few months, i feel blessed because out of all the possible alternate timelines out there, this is the best possible situation i could ask for. it’s not perfect but as a friend once told me, ‘when you love all that you have, u have everything u need.’
9 things i am thankful for:
- good health
- my fam and friends being healthy and safe
- taking a moment to just breathe, exist and enjoy springtime in japan
- the rare opportunity to zoomcall my large ass family all at once. like chatting w my grandma whos in a senior home in calgary and have her 3 kids, 5 grandkids and 6 greatgrandkids all on the same call
- clear headspace to think and plan what i want to focus on going forward from this
- the chance to appreciate things i sometimes take for granted
- the time to try work on hobbies (painting, writing, a shit ton of baking, flower arranging) and just enjoy music n movies
- job security
- so secure, i hit 7 figs this month and accomplished my first goal! coincidentally, national be a millionaire day was on may 20…
